For our last activity, we learned about Tanka poems. Tanka poems are a type of poetry from Japan that follow a 5-7-5-7-7 syllable pattern. We took time to observe and appreciate the world around us, and write a poem about nature.

The autumn is here bringing the leaves to the paths that people cut through admiring the nature until the winter arrives the spring has arrived blooming flowers from the ground people are coming out breathing in the fresh spring air and planning a vacation | the winter is here the trees are thin and sad people are at their house looking forward to the spring and seeing flowers bloom the summer is here the sun is shining warmly people are planning for their trip to the ocean and the autumn comes back |
